The Master of the « Franciscan Tempera » painted in the Franciscain order of the Angevin court of King Robert, who observed Franciscan tenets of poverty.
This panel was the right wing of a portable diptych, and is painted with an egg binder on a gold background.
The panel is mounted with a gilded frame, and has the on the left, original perforations. These holes permitted the opening and closing of the wing. The reverse of the panel is painted in imitation porphyry.
